Dubai mainland company formation.
If you plan to open a restaurant, a shop or a service business in the UAE domestic market, the suitable structure is a mainland company. Formation, licensing and accounting processes are handled by our team in Dubai.
- Since 1996
- Own office in Dubai
- 100% foreign ownership
If your activity will be carried out in the UAE domestic market, from premises leased in Dubai, the suitable structure is a mainland company.
Restaurants and cafes
Businesses that will serve consumers directly in food and beverage in Dubai.
Shops and retail
Businesses that will sell in the UAE through a shop, a showroom or a warehouse.
On-site services
Consultancy and technical service businesses that will open an office in the UAE and serve their clients on site.
Larger teams
Businesses whose headcount will grow with their leased premises and activity.
In both structures, the company can be wholly owned by foreign shareholders. The main difference between them is the market in which the activity is carried out.

Applications are submitted to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and formation takes 5 working days on average. We prepare the documents; decisions on licences and approvals rest with the relevant authorities.
Activity and legal form
The licence type and legal form are determined according to the activity; the structure our clients form most often is a single-owner limited liability company.
Trade name and initial approval
The trade name is registered; for foreign shareholders, GDRFA approval is obtained before the initial approval.
Memorandum of Association
The Memorandum of Association and, for a professional licence, the local service agent agreement are attested.
Lease and Ejari
We support you in finding the office, shop or warehouse to lease and in registering the tenancy contract with Ejari.
Additional approvals and licence
We handle additional approvals such as the Dubai Municipality food permit; for eligible activities, DET's Instant Licence route is used.
Establishment cards
The company is registered with MoHRE and GDRFA; visa applications are made through this registration.

365 days
Employee residenceat least once every six months
182 days
Full rule
Once the visa has been issued, the permit remains valid as long as you enter the UAE at certain intervals. The period starts again with each entry. If this rule is not known, the permit may lapse without being noticed; it is therefore stated separately here.
- For an investor or partner residence, entry into the UAE is required at least once every 365 days.
- For an employee residence, the period is half as long: entry is required at least once every 182 days.
If the period expires without entry, the residence permit may lapse; in that case the process starts again. Following the entry calendar is the responsibility of the residence holder.
Amounts are in USD and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated; they are updated if official fees change. Periods are the timetables set by legislation; as the authorities' processing times are outside our control, we do not commit to fixed timeframes. Which items arise for your company depends on your activity, licence and transaction volume.Amounts are in USD, excluding VAT. Timelines follow the regulatory calendar; no fixed timeline is promised.
